Life In Good Measure

It is about people, history and your own place on the map

Who Said That! #14

ArticlesWSTSmilingSunflower Who hasn’t heard the axiom A smile a day lengthens life. A smile can go a long way to brighten a day. It feels good to smile, but it may feel even better to bring a smile on someone else’s face. Smiling can trick your brain into happiness. The mere act of smiling can lift your mood, boost your immune system and possibly even prolong your life.

WE SHALL NEVER KNOW ALL THE GOOD

THAT A SIMPLE SMILE CAN DO

A smile is like waves in water, spreading way beyond what we can discern. Perhaps without noticing it or meaning to do it, we spread our good vibes. And pay it forward. Smile is such a contagious thing, considered to be characteristic to man alone in the animal kingdom.  It builds bridges seen across a room, silences the opponent with the unexpected reaction, attracts attention without anything said. It is the perfect answer when all is said and done.

And who was it again who said the above? None other than the Albanian-Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary and the 1979 Nobel Peace Price winner Mother Teresa. Updated 15.12.2018
