Those of you who watch regularly the Saturday Night Live are very familiar with this concept: the Five-Timers Club. An exclusive club for celebrity guest hosts that have hosted the show at least five times. A fun addition to great entertainment that we get to see on Saturdays - or any other day of the week if you so please. The Five-Timers Club has been around since the December 8, 1990 episode.
The show that has been on air since 1974, has of course been hosted by a countless number of people, and not only from the entertainment industry. So you never know what to expect, and where the show takes you! The show premiere was hosted by George Carlin on NBC on October 11, 1975, under the original title NBC’s Saturday Night.
The names below have been extracted from the year files of Journeys of Life. Check also the video (if avalílable in your country) where John Mulaney is welcomed to the Five-Timers Club by Steve Martin, Candice Bergen, Paul Rudd, Elliott Gould, Tina Fey and Conan O’Brien - the last mentioned not really belonging there, but you already knew that, didn’t you! :)
