The legendary character James Bond a.k.a. 007, created by Ian Fleming is well-known to most of us, movie fan or not. Here follows a short but informative list on all the six actors that have so far played the role of  James Bond. In brackets the age they reached on their birthday the year of release (so naturally slightly younger during the filming of the movie). Also given the leading actress of each film.

So far only men have played the part of 007, but it seems like in the 2020s the world is ready for the part to be played by a female. Women are no longer just beatiful, albeit also powerful, figures in these or any other stories, but leaders and heroines in their own right. Not quite what Ian Fleming had in mind when he started on the series.
