Hopalong Cassidy airs on NBC June 24th, 1949

June 22nd of 1949 is a date of birth shared by three people from three different U.S. states who came to leave their mark on the American society, all in their own unique way?

These people are Alan from Utah, Meryl from New Jersey and Elizabeth from Oklahoma. Alan was born as the first child and had six siblings who all became singers. Meryl also as the first child with two younger brothers - and they all took up with acting. And finally Elizabeth as the fourth child with three older brothers.

Friday that week (two days after) the first television western, Hopalong Cassidy, airs on NBC in the United States.

So Alan enriched the world with his music, Meryl with her acting, and Elizabeth by practising law and working to enhance consumer protection among other things.

In 2019, at the age of 70, Alan has stopped singing, suffering from multiple schlerosis. But his motto is, “I may have MS, but MS does NOT have me!” He currently runs the OneHeart Foundation and also works as a motivational speaker. He of course is Alan Osmond.

Meryl is still acting, and still receiving Academy Awards nominations! Why wouldn’t she, the wonderful Meryl Streep!

And at the age of 70, Elizabeth Warren is running for presidency.
